Bruny Island Premium Wines are a small family owned and operated vineyard/winery on picturesque South Bruny Island, approximately 1.5 hours south of Hobart (including a 15 minute vehicular ferry trip). Our wines are proudly grown, made and bottled by hand on Wayaree Estate.
The Wine Bar & Grill is open 7 days 11am to 5pm. Richard and Bernice Woolley welcome appointments and group bookings.
Simply delicious wine!! Aromatics mellowing from flash, brash youth into a perfumed nose with hints of lemon/lime, granny smith apple and honeysuckle. The palate has satisfying mouth feel and texture with the most mouth-watering long-lasting nashi pear and honeydew melon acidity, balancing the soft and clean finish to perfection.
Oh, growing Pinot Noir is so much fun!! Different vintages can dish out such diverse styles, when taking into consideration the terroir of our vineyard. Straight up toffee on the bouquet, mixed berry and vanilla. On the palate roasted beetroot, caramel, forest floor, fresh, bright, clean with great length on the palate. Matured in French oak for 8 months. What a classic Pinot, Match this wine Bruny Island tasting platter, cheese platter, salmon, lamb and the list goes on.
